SmartSpent is designed for local-first use. Wallets, accounts, transactions, and receipt scan results are stored on your device by default.
Data leaves your device only when you explicitly use a transfer feature, such as:
Receipt scanning is an optional feature. When you scan a receipt, SmartSpent processes receipt content to help prefill transaction details. Receipt data is handled on-device by default.
If you enable iCloud Sync, synced data is processed through Apple’s iCloud/CloudKit services and governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
SmartSpent may offer optional AI Insights powered by Apple Intelligence. When available, this feature runs on-device and can be disabled in Settings.
If you enable Face ID or Touch ID, biometric authentication is handled by Apple’s LocalAuthentication framework and Secure Enclave. SmartSpent does not store biometric identifiers.
SmartSpent does not sell personal information.
If you contact support, the information you provide is used only to respond and troubleshoot your request.
This policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of SmartSpent after updates means you accept the revised policy.
